Meet the instructor

Dr. John Lombard

I am Dr. John Lombard and I have been serving as the MIP coordinator in Tennessee since 1982 for a total of 38 years, which is the longest tenure of any MIP coordinator. I am also the pastor of the East Cleveland Church of God, an adjunct faculty member of Lee University and the Pentecostal Theological Seminary, and an author of several books. My experience includes many capacities in the state of Tennessee, such as a member of the Tennessee State Council for over 20 years and a member of the State Board of Ministerial Development for over 38 years.

I am teaching this course on “Pastoral Premarital Counseling” because couples need better preparation for marriage and because ministers have the best opportunity to meet that need. This course offers basic guidance in conducting the sessions from Introduction through Wedding Rehearsal. This is “Preparation for Marriage Ministry.”
